Arsenal ‘reject midfielder bids’ from Premier League rivals

According to a source, Arsenal turned down bids from Crystal Palace and Fulham to sign Emile Smith Rowe, an attacking midfielder.
After graduating from Arsenal’s Hill End academy, Smith Rowe has had difficulty in the past getting consistent playing time under Mikel Arteta. Throughout the whole 2023–24 season, he made just 19 appearances and contributed two assists to Arsenal.
The rise of other attacking players has hurt Smith Rowe’s position in the lineup, and he may decide to move in the summer to secure a Premier League starting spot.
However, based on sources from Sky Sports, interested clubs will still need to make an impression on Arsenal to capture Smith Rowe, as the North London team has turned down proposals from Palace and Fulham.

According to earlier rumors, the midfielder is one of Fulham’s top targets for the summer transfer window. With Bobby De Cordova-Reid leaving for Leicester City, Marco Silva wants to increase his attacking arsenal. According to reports, Willian is also thinking about staying with the team.
Arsenal, on the other hand, would want a fair price for their homegrown talent since they see Smith Rowe as a lucrative asset.

Mikel Merino, a Spaniard, appears to be on the Gunners’ radar as they focus on new recruits. If Arsenal wants to get Merino this summer, they will have to fight with Barcelona, but their interest in the Real Sociedad player raises the possibility that Smith Rowe could leave the team soon.
Arsenal has been cautious in its hiring throughout the summer transfer window as a result of new profit and sustainability regulations. After a fruitful loan from Brentford, goalkeeper David Raya has committed his future to Arsenal, making him the sole permanent addition made thus far this summer.
