Barcelona star Lamine Yamal named Young Player of the Tournament at Euro 2024
Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal was named the UEFA Euro 2024 Young Star of the Year following Spain’s victory over England in the championship game on Sunday.
The 17-year-old had a great campaign, contributing four assists and one goal to the competition in Germany.
In the final, Yamal also contributed an assist that set up Neco Williams’s first goal against the Three Lions.
After Cole Palmer gave England an equalizer, Mikel Oyarzabal’s late goal gave Spain a 2-1 victory.
Yamal and his Barcelona teammates Ferran Torres, Pedri, and Fermin Lopez were crowned European champions with Spain after this win, and they certainly deserve it.
For the fourth time in history, La Roja was crowned European champions, and they were unquestionably the greatest team in Germany.
Although this is Yamal’s first significant competition with Spain, he anticipates participating in more.
